Your Guide to Mastering Your Moddy’s Watch

Congratulations on your new Moddy’s timepiece. Below you’ll find a short video and step-by-step guide tailored specifically to your model.

Whether you’re setting the time, resizing the strap, or exploring advanced features, follow along and you’ll have your watch ready in minutes.

WHAT IS AN AUTOMATIC WATCH

Welcome to your Moddy’s watch. This is a mechanical timepiece, built with precision and designed to last.

Many of our models are automatic watches, which means they don’t use a battery, they’re powered by the movement of your wrist.

If left unworn for a couple of days, the watch may stop. That’s normal. You can start it again by winding it manually or simply wearing it.

How to Wind

1. Unscrew the crown counterclockwise until it pops out.

2. In the closed position, turn it clockwise 30–40 times until you feel slight resistance.

3. Gently shake to activate the rotor.

4. Push in and screw the crown tight again.

How to Set Date & Time

1. Unscrew the crown.

2. First click → Counterclokwise - Set date
Clockwise - Set GMT hand

3. Second click → Set time (clockwise).

⚠️ Avoid changing the date between 8 PM and 4 AM.

4. Push the crown back in and screw it tight.

How to Use Clasp

Oysterclasp with Easylink
Lift the safety lock, then pull the clasp open. Close by folding the clasp down and snapping the safety lock shut. Use the Easylink extension inside the clasp to adjust the bracelet length by 5 mm without tools.

How to Use Bezel/GMT hand

GMT Setup

Pull the crown to the second click to set the local time (main hour and minute hands). Use the first click to move the GMT hand independently, allowing you to track a second time zone in 24-hour format.

GMT Bezel

Rotate the bezel to track a third time zone. For example, if the GMT hand points to 10 and you rotate the bezel so that “2” is at the top, you’ve added +4 hours to track another zone.

Resizing the Bracelet

Bracelet links are held together with small screws that can be removed using the screwdriver provided.

Place the bracelet in a stable position and insert the screwdriver into the screw head on the side of the link.

Carefully turn the screwdriver counter-clockwise to remove the screw.

Remove or add the desired number of links, keeping the adjustment balanced on both sides of the clasp so it stays centered.

For fine adjustment, use the Easylink extension inside the clasp to lengthen or shorten the bracelet by 5 mm without tools.

Reinsert the screw and turn clockwise until it is secure, being careful not to overtighten.

You’re now ready to enjoy your Moddy’s watch. Follow these steps for setup, adjustment, and care, and your timepiece will keep ticking for years.
